Excellent!  India has a monsoon climate.

From March to September the weather is usually very hot.  However, from June to October very heavy rains called monsoon rains come and it doesn't feel as hot.  This is called the wet season.  North and Central India have mild weather between October and February but in the South it is always hot, but not as hot as the rest of the year.  These few months are called the cool season.  The north-east and the west of the country get heavy rainfalls but the rest of the country only gets moderate rain.  Sometimes though no rain comes and you get what is called a drought.

This hot and wet climate is very good for rice as it grows quickly.  This is really important because every three out of four people work in agriculture and rely on rice.  The others manufacture (make) things or provide services e.g. shopkeepers, bus drivers etc.
