Lassi Tandoori Chicken Barfi Sweets

Hmmm!!!! Try these delicious and easy recipies.   You might be the next famous chef!!!

Lassi is a traditional Indian drink made with yoghurt.  It is very refreshing, ideal for drinking with curry.  It has an unusual flavour - try it and see!

1 cup ice water

1/2 cup plain yoghurt

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin


You will need:   a jar with a screw-top lid, teaspoon, cup


   1. Place all the ingredients in a tightly closed jar and shake until         mixed together.

   2. Serve with curry or just on it's own.

This recipie is a little harder and will take longer but you will be happy you gave it the time.  It is gorgeous! Hmmmm!

This recipie needs some traditional Indian ingredients - ginger, garam masala and chilli powder - which can be bought in most large supermarkets.

4 chicken fillets

1 inch chopped ginger

2 tablespoons garam masala

2 cloves of garlic

juice of 1 lemon

1/2 teaspoon chilli powder

salt


You will need:   sharp knife, chopping board, mixing bowl, metal spoon, baking dish.


Before you start chopping and slicing, REMEMBER:

1.  With a sharp knife make slices in the chicken fillets, making sure      not to cut the whole way through - !watch fingers

2.  Place the fillets in a dish.  Rub the salt and lemon juice into the fillets with your fingers.  Put aside for half an hour.

3.  Place the ginger, vinegar, garlic and chilli powder in a bowl and mix together.  Pour over the chicken and leave overnight in the fridge.  This makes chicken very tasty.

4.  Bake for 60 minutes (1 hour).  Sprinkle with garam masala (a powder made of spices).  Serve with rice.

5.  Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!

Barfi Sweets are very easy to make and are a Hindu recipie. 

225g desicated coconut

100g icing sugar

200g condensed milk

food colouring (optional)


1.  Mix all the ingredients together.

2.  Roll into balls.

3.  Coat with icing sugar and leave to set.

4.  Enjoy!!!
