Zambian children are very athletic and particularly love playing soccer. Other sports that are played in Zambia are volleyball, basketball and rugby! The Zambian rugby team narrowly missed out on qualifying for the 2007 Rugby World Cup.

If the children do not have a ball they play games such as hopscotch, tag and they also love skipping.

Song and dance are a very important part of Zambian culture. Because most houses do not have a television, families gather together and perform for each other.

Religious songs and songs in their regional language are particularly important.

The native dances are passed down through the generations, much like Irish dancing.
